Fenceboard Flyers is a personal project about building cedar birdhouses, learning as I go, sharing observations, memories, and stories, and having a little fun along the way.
I don’t offer anything for sale. This is simply where I share what I’m making and whatever happens to come along with it. Below are a couple houses I’ve made.
I build mine one at a time from cedar fence pickets. No two turn out quite the same. Once it's finished, I give each one a name. The color, the wood, or just how it turned out usually gives me the idea.
A plane for every Flyer. A job for every flight.
Somewhere along the way, FenceBoard Flyers ended up with a few pilots of its own. There’s Rodee, who likes to have a look around, Tess, who handles the special deliveries, and Otis, who keeps things running.
I’m not entirely sure how all of that happened. But they seem to have settled in.
