FenceBoard Flyers
Turning Pickets into Homes
FenceBoard Flyers is a personal project about building a few simple cedar birdhouses, watching the backyard birds that come and go, sharing observations, memories, and stories, and having a little fun along the way.
When I needed a name for the project, it occurred to me that the little birds growing up in the houses would eventually be flyers. The houses were made from fence boards, so... here we are. FenceBoard Flyers.
I don’t offer anything for sale. I’m just building a few birdhouses... and thinking...
A Couple of Houses
The birdhouses always seem to turn out a little different from one another. And each one has a short story about how it got its name.
A few questions and observations I’m keeping track of.
A few stories, observations, and old memories gathered along the way.
Around Here Lately
Whatever happens to land here
Who’s watching who?
A plane for every Flyer. A job for every flight.
Somewhere along the way, a few of the backyard birds became pilots, each with a plane and a job around here. They seem to have settled in.
